The new harvest and distilling season could not have started any better.
After years of early winemaking, the current year is featuring a normal ripening: grapes are very aromatic and their quantity bigger by 15% compared with the previous year.
Weather conditions have been favourable so far:
the rain fallen recently slighlty inflated the grapes,
allowing a smoother pressing process, less stress for the grapes and a better aromatic load.
The distilling season has started as well, putting men and plants under pressure: our copperpots are now running at top revs to get the best features out of the freshest grape marc.
Just like every distilling season, the start is really frenetic:
several tastings of both must types fermenting and of the first spirits are paired with long days spent working by the still.
We're sure this campaign will be a succes, just as the saying goes "Well begun is half done"
